BECAUSE OF YOU, GIRLS ARE WRITING NEW STORIES OF S

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Behind every school uniform is a girl with dreams of becoming a teacher, nurse, entrepreneur, or leader. Yet poverty, menstrual health challenges, and limited reproductive health education continue to threaten those dreams for many girls living in rural communities.

Your support is helping them write a different story.

This quarter, we provided menstrual hygiene supplies, educational workshops, and mentorship opportunities that empowered girls to stay in school and protect their futures. These interventions are especially important as funding cuts continue to reduce access to youth-friendly services and adolescent outreach programs.

The girls we support are demonstrating incredible resilience. Despite the challenges they face, they remain determined to succeed. With the right resources and encouragement, they are proving that barriers can be overcome.

Teachers have reported improved attendance and stronger academic engagement among participating students. Many girls now feel confident discussing health issues and seeking support when needed.

One student shared that before receiving assistance, she often stayed home during her menstrual cycle. Today, she attends school consistently and is working hard toward her dream of becoming a healthcare professional.

Thank you for helping girls replace fear with confidence and uncertainty with hope. Your generosity is creating opportunities that will influence not only individual lives but entire communities for generations to come.
