We are grateful to the donors for committing to the conservation of Indian Pangolin. Also, we thank the Global Giving for providing the platform to spread a word about our work and fundraising.

Pangolin Survey

  • Out of  85 villages in Chiplun block  Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra, continued intensive trap camera based survey. Found the evidence of the Indian Pangolin in some of the villages. These six villages were Dugave, Bamnoli, Kosabi, Vadad, and Talavli and Chivali. There was good support of the local villagers. Total 492 camera days were completed with the use of 20 Trail Cameras.
  • Developed Android App for the recording of the trail camera survey information. This is very useful for the collecting information like location, date, time and other details of the trail camera survey.
  • Developed a logo for the conservation of the Indian Pangolin.
  • Collected scat sample of the Indian Pangolin and it is in the process of analysis.
  • Awareness drives
  • Sahyadri has continued conducting meetings and interaction with local communities to spread the importance of conservation of Indian Pangolin.
  • Five more awareness boards (4 Ft X 3 Ft) have been installed at the prominent locations in the project area.
