The dryer project is part of a larger project called FORESTPLAZA ASIREA, in which the necessary permits are being requested for the construction’s first stage and architectural plans, linked to forestry production and agro-industry.
The project is one of the objectives of ASIREA in its search to create possibilities for the direct commercialization of wood between producers and the final consumer, as well as a space for the use of entrepreneurship related to green businesses, to eliminate the intermediation chain and thus guarantee that the producer receives fair payment for their products.
This is a project with a social and economic impact for the Pococí area and surroundings, for which the support of other actors, both governmental and private, is sought.
Initially, ASIREA planned the establishment of a solar dryer with a capacity for 7 m3 of wood, however, considering the climate of the area, the time of the process, among other things, the final design contemplates the construction of a hybrid dryer.
The piece of land where the project is planned to be established is ubicated in a ground which was managed with the State and with the help of the local government the collaboration is intended to open the access to the area where the structures would be.
