Mejorando vidas con madera de valor agregado, Costa Rica

ASIREA planteó hace varios años la necesidad de que los pequeños y medianos productores de la Zona Atlántica tuvieran la posibilidad de dar valor agregado a su madera mediante el secado de la misma. Actualmente la zona Atlántica no cuenta con un secador de madera que preste sus servicios de secado a pequeños productores.
El proyecto FORESTPLAZA ASIREA vinculada una serie de servicios y productos que componen la cadena de producción de madera, pasando desde el vivero forestal hasta la venta de madera y productos elaborados, así como la venta de madera seca y la prestación del servicio de secado. El objetivo principal que el productor de madera reciba un precio más justo por su producto.
El proyecto ya cuenta con el terreno para su construcción y durante el último año se han estado realizando actividades relacionadas con el diseño del proyecto y tareas previas al trámite de permisos de construcción, así como el mantenimiento del terreno.

ASIREA raised several years ago the need for small and medium-sized producers in the Atlantic Zone to have the possibility of adding value to their wood by drying it. Currently, the Atlantic zone does not have a wood dryer that provides its drying services to small producers.The FORESTPLAZA ASIREA project links a series of services and products that make up the wood production chain, from the forest nursery to the sale of wood and processed products, the sale of dry wood and the provision of the drying service.The main objective is that the wood producer receives a fairer price for his product.The project already has the land for its construction and during the last year activities have been carried out related to the design of the project and tasks prior to the processing of construction permits, as well as the maintenance of the land.
