We are proud to inform that music intervention started in February 2022. All the classrooms are benefiting from this project, which totals now 34 children!
The program intervention includes the practice of four specific songs identified as potential motivators for the areas that professionals are willing to develop in the kids: vocabulary consciousness, intonation consciousness and syllabic consciousness, to help them at the reading and writing process. These songs include different levels of difficulty, including wording recognition such as: ¨drink¨,¨rink¨, ¨pink¨, ¨link¨, etc.. It is funny to see the kids singing the songs around the school and even sometimes correcting each other with the ´pink¨ instead of the milk¨!
The intervention is set for 10 minutes at every music classroom and will last until June 2022.Initial evaluations have determined the base level of each kid and we will again, around June 2022, pass the final evaluations to see if there were any ameliorations and in which areas.
