Dear donor
More than ever, the climate is on the global agenda. Everyone must contribute to our planet's well-being and Land of Hope is no exception.
On September 21, our children participated in World CleanUp Day where they collected and sorted plastic garbage in the local area. The cleanup was followed by a refreshing drink back at Land of Hope and a lecture about how we can take good care of our planet. An incredible difference has been made in the children's own lives and we are so proud to be with them as they now make a change to others and to the environment.
Our youngest changemaker at Land of Hope, Abasiofon, is so eager to read and write that we have named him "Professor". He is always very concentrated with books in his hands. But as soon as Abasiofon teams up with David Jr., Abraham, Sunday, Ezekiel, and Elijah, they become little troublemakers :) Never a boring moment at Land of Hope!
On a serious note, we wish to also highlight Uduak, a boy we rescued in August from his community because he was accused of being a witch – so nobody wanted to be anywhere near him. 2 months after his rescue, he started school and loves it! He is adjusting well at Land of Hope while he works through his traumas with the help of Orok, our Director of Child Development. Uduak has also joined the football academy and the kitchen team, and we are already seeing his self-confidence build up.
Without people like you to help our cause, we could not offer the children psychological help, education and a community where they can feel loved and at home. It is important for us that you know exactly how big of a difference your support is making.
Thank you for already helping children like Abasiofon and Uduak to a brighter future
