Fatina's Journey: From Hardship to Self-Reliance

By Yasmina | Project Leader

Dear Supporter,

Thank you for your continued support in empowering women and strengthening communities.

In the challenging environment of Rural Damascus, Fatina’s story stands as a powerful example of resilience and determination. A mother of two young children, Fatina became the sole provider for her family after the forced disappearance of her husband—an experience shared by many Syrian families.

Facing immense responsibility in a fragile economy, Fatina found an opportunity through a household cleaning products manufacturing training program. She approached the training with dedication and passion, recognizing it as a path toward financial independence and dignity for her family.

Throughout the program, Fatina developed strong technical skills, learning to produce a variety of cleaning products such as liquid hand soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry soap, and floor fresheners. With growing confidence, she transformed her uncertainty into capability.

After completing the training and receiving initial support, Fatina took the initiative to build her own business. She approached local supermarkets with samples of her products and successfully secured supply agreements, creating a steady source of income for her household.

Today, Fatina continues to strengthen her business, providing for her children and building a more stable future through her determination and hard work.

Thank you for being part of this impact.
