War has left countless Syrian women as sole providers for their families, struggling to secure food, medicine, and education. This project empowers women-headed households with vocational skills, psychological support, and business training. By equipping them to earn sustainable incomes, we restore dignity, build resilience, and create lasting pathways out of poverty-helping them transform hardship into hope for their families and communities.
In Damascus countryside, women who lost husbands to war, detention, or disappearance face overwhelming challenges. With no stable income, they struggle to feed children, access healthcare, or provide education. Trauma, social isolation, and lack of vocational skills deepen their vulnerability. Over 90% of Syrians live under the poverty line-without intervention, women-led families remain trapped in cycles of poverty, trauma, and dependence.
We will deliver vocational training in household products manufacturing, mobile and computer repair, renewable energy, and home gardening. Integrated with psychosocial support and business planning sessions, women gain both healing and practical skills. Starter kits and market linkages ensure they can immediately launch small businesses, generate sustainable income, and build independence-transforming vulnerable households into resilient, self-reliant families.
Empowered women uplift entire communities. When women earn, they invest in children's health, education, and nutrition. This project creates lasting economic independence, reduces reliance on aid, and fosters resilience against future shocks. Beyond income, psychosocial healing rebuilds confidence and dignity. By equipping women with sustainable skills and market access, we break cycles of poverty and enable women to become leaders of recovery in Syria.
