Dear amazing donor,
Two years ago, Halt Poverty embarked on a goal to take part in preserving Fianarantsoa’s Old Section cultural heritage site. We are especially grateful for your support on this uniquely challenging year. Your gift supports:
The historic section of Fianarantsoa constitutes a uniquely architectural heritage. After devastating hurricanes caused significant damage, with the support of our partners, Halt Poverty invested in the recovery of a cultural heritage to ensure this unparalleled building remains for future generations. Thank you for all you do to champion heritage sites.
May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note. For a fresh and a bright 2021. Here is wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. With appreciation.

Dear donor,
Please accept our gratitude for your contribution of $361.01 to the project #40580 to help finish the renovation of our training center located in the historical section of Fianarantsoa, Madagascar. With GlobalGiving's and your generosity, we have been able to pursue our construction project and finish the renovation of most rooms located on the second floor. It is the beginning of a dream come true after an endless road trip.
Thank you so much for being a part of our team of supporters that are making our project a reality. We have been working hard to finish the renovation of this historical landmark to host our activities. You can see how long the journey has been.
Your donation had double impact: (1) support local community as we provided a part time job to finish carpentry work: ceiling, doors, windows to let the sunshine in (2) contribute to the preservation of the architectural ensemble of the Old Town Fianarantsoa. The rate of unemployment has grown exponentially since the lockdown affected the country. With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting everyday life, we thank you for your continued support and wish you and your community health and peace.
Warm regards,
Halt Poverty team
Dear Donor,
We reiterate our gratitude for the generous donation of $ 3398.00 received so far from 72 amazing donors who contributed to the project #40580 renovation of Anay training center located in the historical section of Fianarantsoa. With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting everyday life, we thank you for your continued support and wish you and your community health and peace. Right now, Halt Poverty faces new challenges. As we adapt to these unprecedented circumstances, we will continue to serve our communities as best we can. Recent circumstances have led us to suspend programs related to constructions.
On the one hand, May 11th, our local partner who oversees the renovation emailed us a new budget related to the project. Copies of the updated of the budget are available for review. On the other hand, to both ensure the safety of our community, and comply to the authority’s command, Madagascar lockdown remains until July 20th we have made necessary modifications to our programming that we would like to share with you.
While much of this is out of our control, we are dedicated to finding ways to serve our constituents and hope to resume programming soon. While the changes brought by the pandemic are significant, there is hope in some of the innovation emerging around the globe to address the impact of this stumbling block. We are thrilled you are part of this memorable journey. We look forward to resuming the original programming related to the renovation of this historical landmark once it is safe to do so. Stay home. Stay safe.
Warm regards,
Halt Poverty team,

Thank you for being a part of our team of supporters that are making our project a reality. We have been working hard to finish the renovation of this historical landmark to host our activities. You can see how long the journey has been. Since the end of the December the raining has been pouring. Hence we had to take a major decision to postpone all construction project including the renovation of our training center.
Nonetheless, we have been able to go on and pursue our efforts by giving back to the community due to the generous donation of $250 by GlobalGiving the same day.
