Help Halt Poverty build a training center for ignored labor pools: chronically unemployed, lost parents, LGBT, recovering addicts, to address staff shortage serving Malagasy tourism industry. The site will include a library, a training venue (food preparation, rooms, etc.) for hands-on demonstrations. The renovation of this historical landmark will also signify the preservation of the architectural ensemble of the Old Town Fianarantsoa. Now we need to raise $5,000 funds for Anay center project
Disadvantaged Malagasy young adults lack the opportunity to access professional orientations. As a result, they often participate informally and at the margins, as porters, and so on. They need extra support to become active citizens. Besides, with all the opportunity that Madagascar has to offer, one can't find enough labor supply within the industry. Companies steal employees from one another. Competent staff in digital and sustainable tourism can dry up very quickly
The new training center will be the centerpiece for our program. This project converts a traditional home into community run spaces to tailor a job-training program for the tourism workforce. Serving our members, Anay center will allow our recipients to learn about digital marketing, etc. Tourism could become the sector for people seeking a way out of poverty. This entails, decent working conditions, access to career opportunities, and sound partnerships with local people
Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, we will continue to unlock people's potential to rise out of poverty and to provide for their families' well-being. Our activity will feature space for a community meeting, tutoring, computer literacy, environmental outreach, etc. Human development is about expanding opportunities. Special thanks to the 74 donors for enabling us to collect $3,536 so far. For each collected donation, a painted mural will be dedicated to you
