Dear friends!
“Shag Navstrechu” thanks every single one of you for supporting our organization and children with disabilities from the orphanage 4 in Pavlovsk.
Summer turned out to be bright and sunny for us and our fosterlings. Our kids and art therapists took part in a joint summer vacation. More than a week children, volunteers and staff lived in a cottage away from the orphanage. Every day they had art classes: they painted on paper, fabrics and even on their own body! And that felt so right and so natural. We also had a theatrical performance during our stay: we created costumes and the whole show. Children were so in their roles as they were born actors and actresses!
Every morning in our “camp” started with the exercise “Circle”. This class helps children to communicate better, teaches them to wait for their turn and get them acquainted with musical instruments. At nights we had calm and relaxing music classes.
During this summer we also managed to visit the charitable festival “Anton is near”, where we listened to the music and played a little music ourselves. We also walked in a Pavlovskiy park: kids love games on a fresh air. Sunny weather let us to have art classes not only in the orphanage, but also we had plain-airs outside of it.
In July volunteers, specialists and kids also visited an exhibition “Van Gogh Alive” where we saw Vincent Van Gogh’s beautiful paintings in a new extraordinary way.
Our everyday life passed according to a plan: our art and music therapists continue to work with children in the orphanage. We also plan and hope that we will manage to open an exhibition of children’s works in November. It’s going to be quite an event for us!
Unfortunately, at the end of July our theatre specialist left and “Theatre” is temporary frozen til October. But we hope that in October it'll be renewed in a new and great way!
All of this would be impossible without your care and support! Thank you!
