177 school principals, 100 health professionals, 14 regional education directors will receive the Brain Education and Earth Citizen Awareness curriculum. IBREA will work in 4 zones of the country: Santa Ana in the West, San Miguel in the Eastern part, La Paz in the Central part and San Salvador. Each of the 177 principals oversees another 10 schools in average. The program foresees their replication of the curriculum to the principals in those schools too.
The opening event of this third phase took place on July 2nd in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over 100 people came, including principals and teachers from the previous phases of the program and new participants. Everybody showed big enthusiasm for the staring of the program! IBREA's Vice President, The Vice-Minister of Education and the Director of the ISBM (Instituto Salvadoreño de Bienestar Magisterial - Salvadorian Institute for Educators' Wellbeing) who partially funded this program, gave hopeful speeches and showed a great commitment to the success of the program.
Our objectives include: better health, stress management, self-esteem and motivation, reducing violence in schools, improving academic motivation among students and enhanced conviviality. The ISBM will carry out a research measuring the impact of the program through pre and post physical evaluations and psicosocial tests.
With this third phase, we want to creat a model in El Salvador which can be replicated in other Central American and Latin American countries.
Let's keep working together for the dream of a healthy and peaceful society in El Salvador. Please make your donations and share with your networks!
