As Argentina was hit by the 2nd wave of Covid-19, schools where shut down again and our activities had to be suspended as well. With this new lock down, education was at the center of the debate focusing whether students could actually participate, rather than WHAT or HOW where they learning.
If we have learnt anything during this pandemic, is that true knowledge lies not only in the things that we DO know, but on those that we DON’T and we are willing to find out. Future proof education must be centered on our unique human, emotional and social skills. Being able to explore, discover, experiment and make mistakes without being punished.
This is what our team have been doing, creating the necessary conditions for kids to learn, offering the best possible materials and equipment for them to be curious, asking questions rather than giving answers, and helping them find their own knowledge and voice.
It is time to rebuild, create beyond our imagination, we are still under a pandemic, but future is not set, we want to create an exciting one that is worth living. A future where people is focused on developing the proper skills to solve the complex problems we are and will be facing, it might sound utopic, but as our co-founder Jorn Wemenhove once said “realists change nothing” let’s be idealists.
Thanks for your support in this difficult moment, stay strong and take care of your beloved ones and your community.
