Dear friends, today we’d like to tell you about Ilya, the eldest participant of our project. You have already helped Ilya to study at a private school for one year. The most important differences between this school and the state school where he studied before are the atmosphere of respect for the individual pupil’s interests, the value of human interaction between adults and children, between teachers and pupils, the value of applied knowledge - the main thing that provides a qualitative change. It is the essential part of a good learning process.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that it was the first time when Ilya felt such an atmosphere within the school. Teachers and the curator of his class note that at first he was "frozen", he was not accustomed to manifest himself, but gradually he started to "get warm" feeling concerned and genuinely warm attitude of his teachers.

Ilya says, "I like all the teachers. Especially I enjoy going to a ceramics workshop. And I also like to sculpt and to draw. I even was offered to do a master class for younger children."

Now for us and the teachers of the school it is obvious that in the near future Ilya still won’t be able to attend a regular school. Especially because the program of the 7th grade is much more complicated. Psychologists of the Resource Center say, "We believe it is very important that Ilya was able to continue studying in this private school. It is still a guarantee of his future path in society. Without this step it would be impossible to move further."

And we kindly ask you to support Ilya today. You bring the wonder and hope for these children and their families.
