The GLK Student Fund is excited to announce its two latest GlobalGiving primary students, Sara and Cynthia. These two bright twin girls are began pre-school in January of this year. Unfortunately, for their family, this was not possible without outside help. These girls lost their father shortly after they were born. Their mother, who only has a primary school education, cares for them by doing piece work, which while that provides them a small room Nkwenda, does not allow for many other expenses.
The GLK Student Fund is looking to support these students through preschool and with your help, for this year and for the remainder of their academic careers. They are attending an English Medium Primary school close to where the twins live. It provides a safe place for the girls to learn and play while their mother earns a living.
In April, their mother reported that the twins are doing well in school: reciting school phrases at home, counting up to 40, and singing the alphabet. Their mother is very excited about their progress.
Please help us support these students!
