The GLK Student Fund would like to introduce you to Eveline. She joined us in 2015 joining Karume Day and Boarding English Medium in Bukoba, Tanzania. She is now 11 years old and currently in standard 5. So far, she is doing very well in her courses and has shown improvement over her time of support through GlobalGiving. Looking at her report card, we can see that her teachers have littered it with comments proclaiming "Very Good." According to her letter, she always does well in school and has the good sense to ask her teachers when she's stuck on a problem. She wants to be a doctor and makes sure that she has the grades to get there.
We met Eveline in 2009 when she was an energetic, vivacious, and precocious young girl. Her love of play and learning was apparent and it was our hope to help her some day. When her mother died several years ago, her chances of getting a good education were decreased. There was little chance to seek financial assistance from family members. She has two sisters who can help her study, but they are constrained with financial resources as well. We decided to help ensure that Eveline has ongoing support as she continues her education.
We think Eveline deserves secure support to help her get through school and achieve her dream of becoming a doctor. Please contribute today to help us support Eveline.
