4 years ago, the world knew Jeronimo our patient when he won the "GlobalGiving photo contest" in the health category. He was just a baby who was about to enter surgery, his first step into a long recovery and an integral treatment that would start with his first therapy but that would go on into a process that includes speech therapy, psychology sessions, among other areas that treat all of our patients.
4 years later Jeronimo has become a strong little man who has overtake a lot of the challenges that come with his condition. His mother tells us that at the beginning she was very scared and she even cried a lot when she found out that her son was going to be born with cleft lip and palate.
Later on, she realized that the fact that her son was born no matter his condition was a blessing for her and that with the help of FISULAB, he is just a normal kid that loves to play, goes to school with his friends, and does what every normal kid does.
She recognizes that her son's surgery was just the start of a long treatment and her whole family is commited to complete these steps side by side with will and discipline.
Jeronimo and his family are glad to share their smiles with the whole world around them.
