Dear friend,

Thank you for Giving a sewing machine to a mom in India! Your gift is changing the life of a poor woman and empowering her with the opportunity to learn valuable sewing skills.

Many women living in poverty in India have little education and limited skills. Your gift is making a difference because it's giving a woman a chance to support her family. Unlike mothers who work 12 hours a day in the fields, sewing at a home-based business enables a mother to care for her child while still earning a decent living wage.

Yesamma is one of the women your gift is helping. She recently received a sewing machine after graduating from the tailoring school this past June. Yesamma along with 78 other women completed their tailoring education and they all received a free sewing machine. Thank you for being a blessing to these women!

Yesamma is a widow and mother of two children. The stress of raising her family on her own weighed heavily on her. She could barely provide food for her family every day. When she was given the chance to join the tailoring school she was filled with hope. She worked hard for six months and learned how to sew.

"Today, I can stitch clothes and earn money to support my family," says Yesamma. "The training is a blessing to me and I am grateful to India Partners for this wonderful training and also for the certificate and sewing machine," says Yesamma.

Because of your compassion, you are helping women like Yesamma provide for her family. Thank you for changing her life! To help another woman in need, give a sewing machine today.

Sincerely,

Dear Friend,

Thank you for empowering women in India and providing them with a sewing machine. Your gift is helping poor women have the opportunity to attend a tailoring school where they learn how to sew.

Many women live in poor, rural villages and have little education or skills for work. Your gift is life changing. After 6 months of training, they receive a free sewing machine along with a certificate of completion.

Thirty-six women recently completed their training. There are nine schools in operation and they have a total of 96 women enrolled in their classes.

Because of your compassion, you are helping women like Aruna support her family. She is married and has two young girls. Her husband's wages aren't enough to meet the family's daily expenses. Aruna wanted to learn tailoring so she could do something with her hands to earn money. She wanted to help her family thrive.

Aruna has graduated from a government certified tailoring program. She received a new sewing machine and is now helping to support her family by sewing clothes! Her girls have a great role model in their mom. Thank you for changing Aruna's life and the lives of her whole family.

Sincerely,

Mary is proud to have earned her certificate.
Mary is proud to have earned her certificate.

Dear Friend,

With your help, 60 women completed their six months of tailoring training in December, and each received a treadle sewing machine to start her own home business. One hundred six other women are enrolled in training, 36 of whom will graduate in the coming months. These women are enrolled in the newest schools and the inaugurations took place in the fall.

Mary just completed her training. She is married with two children, but her husband abandoned them. Without his income, the family slipped even further into poverty. With the training completed, certificate in hand and a treadle sewing machine, Mary now earns enough to feed her children and ensure they can go to school.

Thank you for changing this mom’s life and the lives of her children!

Dear Friend,

Thank you for empowering women in India and providing them with a sewing machine. Your gift is helping poor women have the opportunity to attend a tailoring school where they learn how to sew. After 6 months of training, they receive a free sewing machine along with a certificate of completion.

Sixty women recently completed their training and another 60 women are currently in classes. There are three new schools that were started recently and they have a total of 36 women in their classes.

Santha is a recent graduate who received a sewing machine. She is happy that she can start her own tailoring business to help her family.

Santha and her family struggled financially. She and her husband had a difficult time supporting their two children with a limited income. Her husband works as a daily laborer. It's not a permanent job because he only works whenever there is a job available. They couldn't afford to send their children to school and Santha wanted to do something to help her family.

When Santha heard about the tailoring school in her village, she applied for it and got accepted. After months of training, she now has the skills to earn an income to help her family. With her sewing machine, she sews clothes and is able to earn enough money to take care of her family and send her children to school!

Santha says she feels blessed for the opportunity and is grateful for her sewing machine. Thanks to you, Santha and her whole family are reaping the benefits of your generous gift.

Sincerely,

John Sparks

Dear Friend,

Thank you for ensuring the women who graduate from free tailoring  schools in India receive a treadle sewing machine along with a certificate of completion.

Sixty women just completed their training in June and another sixty women are currently in classes, with three new schools in slum or poor neighborhoods set to start their first classes, enrolling a total of 36 more women.

Each graduate was so excited to complete her training and receive a sewing machine to start her own business.

Boddu lives with her parents and older brother. Her father is a day laborer. She went to school just through the 6th grade. She had to stop her education because her father did not earn enough to pay for her education.

Her favorite item to sew are punjabi tops and she excels in making them. She can sew them quickly, thereby earning more money each day to help support her family.

Thank you for bringing a happy smile to Boddu, providing training and a sewing machine so she can help her family in spite of not completing a formal education.

Blessings,

John Sparks
