Women are so happy with their sewing machine
Women are so happy with their sewing machine

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your support of providing a mom in India with a sewing machine. It's such a life changing gift that helps a whole family. There are 48 women who are currently enrolled in the tailoring schools, and they will spend six months learning how to sew and stitch.

Many of these women are mothers who have struggled to find ways to support their families. Often times women living in poverty are uneducated and earn little to no wages.  With a valuable skill like sewing, these mothers now have an opportunity to provide a good income for themselves and their families. Your gift is helping women like Kavya!

Kavya heard about our tailoring school and applied to be part of the program. Her family is very poor and her husband spends all of his wages drinking and gambling. She needed to help her family and Kavya said the tailoring training gave her great hope for the future.

When Kavya successfully finished her training, she got a sewing machine and was able to start supporting her family. She was so happy, and she also started to see a change in her husband's life. Right now, Kavya earns enough money to provide for her entire family.

This was made possible because of you. Your gift makes a difference and brings change to people suffering from poverty.

Sincerely,

John Sparks

Dear Friend,

There are 48 women who are currently enrolled in the tailoring schools, and they will spend six months learning how to sew and stitch.

Many of these women are mothers who have struggled to find ways to support their families. Often times women living in poverty are uneducated and earn little to no wages.  With a valuable skill like sewing, these mothers now have an opportunity to provide a good income for themselves and their families.

Our moms mean a lot to us. They care for us, feed us, and make sure we're safe. However, many moms in India struggle to care for their families because of poverty. Your gift is changing their lives! You are giving them sewing training that will provide a sustainable income.

A gift of a sewing machine does so much to help families in need. It helped a woman like Sammangi start her own home tailoring business that will support her family!

Sammangi has two children. Her husband works but he doesn't earn enough money for them to live on. They couldn't afford to send their kids to school and life was a struggle. But with a sewing machine, Sammangi is now able to sew clothes and earn an extra income that will provide a better life for her entire family. She is so happy she can now send her two children to school.

When you honor a mom in India with a gift a sewing machine, you change her life forever. Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,

Women like Laxmi are grateful for your support. Laxmi lost both of her parents from AIDS when she was only10 years old. She has been living with her grandmother since she became an orphan. As Laxmi got older, she was concerned about her future and she didn't know what she was going to do support herself. Thankfully, she applied for the tailoring school and got accepted.

Laxmi learned how to stitch and sew in six months and developed confidence in her new skills. Laxmi graduated for the tailoring school and is now earning a good income. She feels so happy that she’s able to support herself and her grandmother.

Teaching a woman how to sew is one of the most life-changing things you can do to help a woman living in poverty. Many are uneducated and earn little to no wages. With a valuable skill, these women have an opportunity to provide a good income for themselves and their families

There are 48 women who are currently enrolled in the tailoring schools, and they will spend six months learning how to sew and stitch.

Women like Santhi are grateful for your support. Santhi recently completed her education at a tailoring school, and she’s very happy to have a stable job. Prior to going to school, Santhi experienced a lot of tragedy in her life. She was married and was expecting her first child. However, after a few months of marriage Santhi’s husband felt ashamed to be married to Santhi, who was from a lower caste. He didn’t want the child, so he severely injured Santhi in the stomach, and the baby sadly died in the womb. Devastated and depressed, Santhi was also kicked out of her home and had nowhere to go until a kind married couple took her in.

Santhi was fully dependent on them until she found a way to make a living. She got accepted into the sewing school and after graduating she started working at a tailoring shop for women. Santhi has great attention to detail and the garments she sews are always beautiful. Although she has faced a lot of hardship, Santhi is so grateful for your gracious support. She is happily earning a good income and she enjoys her work.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity in helping women like Santhi.

Today only: Special Giving Tuesday opportunity! You can DOUBLE your impact for poor children in India! Starting at 12pm EST, Microsoft will match your gift when you Help an orphan in India receive an education. Please consider giving to a different project that will lift children out of poverty. You will have twice the impact when you give right now. Matching funds run out quickly so give as soon as you can.

Because of your help, 48 women received sewing training at tailoring schools in India. Many of these women come from very poor families and don't have jobs. But you have given them valuable skills and so much hope. The women recently graduated from the tailoring schools and receieved their very own sewing machine.

Since these women have graduated, a new batch of students has arrived. 48 women are currently enrolled in the tailoring schools, where they will spend six months learning how to sew and stitch.

Women like Rajini are grateful for your support. Rajini didn't have a job and her husband didn't have a permanent job, so they constantly faced financial struggles. It was hard to support their family. They have three children and, at times, it was difficult to afford the fees to send all of their children to school.

Rajini found hope when she joined the tailoring school. She gained tremendous confidence in herself and learned how to sew. Rajini is able to not only sew clothes for her family, but she also sews clothes for others. When she graduated she received her very own sewing machine, and she is now able to sew and earn an income to support her husband and three children. Rajini is so grateful for the opportunity she has been given to attend the tailoring school. She is very thankful that she now has valuable skills and a sewing machine that will greatly help her whole family.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity! If you would like to help women like Rajini, please give another gift today. You are not just helping one person, but you are helping an entire family.
