Marri is the mother of two boys and one girl. Her husband is a heavy drinker and often spends half of his wages on alcohol. Marri was unable to work as she needed to stay home to take care of her children. The family racked up debts for food and basic needs.
Then everything changed. Marri had the wonderful opportunity to learn to tailor for free and learned many varieties of stitching techniques that allow her to sew both women's wear and children's clothes.
Initially, Marri was making a small amount but now her daily income has more than doubled! She is earning enough money to begin the repayment of debts that her family took on previously. Best of all, Marri is looking forward to helping other women who are in similar situations.
Marri is incredibly grateful for the ability she now has to provide for her family and give her children a better life. "Without this tailoring school, I wouldn't have any opportunity to reach this position I have now!" she says, "and I will never forget this help in my lifetime."
Thank you for empowering women through sewing!
