Thank you for helping women provide for their families by giving them a sewing machine and putting them through sewing classes! Women like Shyla are now able to work from home, caring for their children while making money by sewing.
Shyla’s husband is a daily wage worker and Shyla needs to stay home with their two small children. Two years ago, Shyla’s house and all their belongings burned down and they were facing homelessness and starvation. During this time, Shyla was suffering from depression because their situation seemed hopeless.
Your donation turned that all around for Shyla and her family! You paid for Shyla to receive a new sewing machine and 6 months of sewing classes for free. For the first time in a long time Shyla had hope that her and her family could make it through. Shyla is now able to care for her children and provide extra income. They were even able to build a small house on her brother’s land!
Thank you for caring about Shyla who lost everything. Because of you was she able to rebuild her life!
When families live in poverty, every member is affected. Meena* is a widowed mother of three children. Meena and her family live with her mother, who is also a widow. Her mother can no longer work, so it is Meena’s responsibility to provide for her three kids and her mother.
Although Meena is educated, it was difficult for her to find a job that was close to home so she could take care of her children. Meena was struggling to provide for her family and her family began to starve.
But because of generous gifts like yours, everything changed for Meena! Meena was given the resources to start a small business!
With her small business, Meena is now able to make enough money each week to take care of her mother and her three children! This business will be a reliable source of income for her and her family for years to come. This business also allows her to have a flexible schedule and work close to home so that she can help take care of her family!
Unfortunately, there are many women in India who are still struggling to find work and provide for their families. When you donate to equipping and empowering a woman for success, you are helping them and their families. Thank you!

P.S. There are many women in India who are struggling to provide for their families. If you would like to empower a woman like Meena, you can do that today! Thank you for equipping and empowering woman in India to be successful and have hope for the future!
Last month I was in India. As I visited our Partners, I was struck by the poverty of the women who are asking to be trained as part of our tailoring schools. I came face to face with the very women whose lives you change through your generosity. Rani is one of those women.
Rani’s parents were divorced when she was young, and she lived with her mother. Her mother became ill and decided she needed to get Rani married soon. Her social status left her with few choices, so the man she arranged for Rani can neither speak nor hear. Rani did not finish school and her husband cannot find work. They have two sons. Both her mother and brother have since passed away.
The poverty of these women has affected their health, both physical and mental, and like Rani many of them have little children. You are the difference between suffering and thriving when you provide training for them.
Rani and hundreds of other women say thank you – thank you for changing their lives forever!

p.s. Thank you for being the difference for Rani and other women like her that lack the means to support themselves. You are their catalyst for change.
