Young Girls Ignored to send schools by rural families Pakistan  

Women staff of AHD conducted baseline survey house to house visits to know the update situation of rural poor families and their young children particularly girls situation at house hold level is very adverse. Most of rural families do not send their girls to school and in most of villages unavailability of Govt. primary school or distance is about 1 to 1.5 km. overall situation in rural areas is still questionable. The future of hundreds of girls in minority families is same as their parents.

On this Christmas season, theses girls in rural areas needs all of us attention and timely support, we at AHD wants to support more girls for the enrolment in Govt. primary school and their skill training at village level.

At initial stage we will support some 500 girls in Jan –March 2015, your timely support will enable us to reach the unreached families

23 drop out Young Girls selected to send school

Women staff of AHD visited a new area of Salauddin near Kotri district Jamshoro to survey about young girls’ education status. During the visit AHD female staff came to know that about 23 young girls not going to school, most of girls drop out due to fees and some them asked by their family to remain at home to help in house work. AHD female staff conducted door to door visit in Salauddin area and selected 23 female to help them to re-join school immediately. 23 female will be provided with fees and books as they all studying in the nearby private schools. Total US $ 1,115 will be needed to register all 23 female in schools with books.

The purpose of this Girl Initiative Fund project to find new areas and girls enrolment in nearby Govt or private schools for the Girl Education promotion

Education Promotion through enrolment of young girls in nearby schools

AHD working in rural areas and targeting young women and girls to empower them with provision of health & Hygiene, safe drinking water and education at their door step.  In this regard a field visits to select some 10 village in Matli area to support some 200 young girls with enrolment in nearby Govt. primary schools. Farmers and families residing near village of Matli will be targeted and at initial stage some 500 young girls enrolled in nearby Govt. primary school for the increase in literacy in rural families. AHD staff selected some 20 villages near Matli and their women & mothers agree to send their young girls ages between 4-5 years will send to nearby schools.

 

We need you all support to conduct regular visits and awareness program for the admission of young girls in nearby Govt. primary schools, your all support and quick donation will help us to keep working and conduct regular field visits and program in targeted families.

Miss Sabra Chandio leading young girls group in Sikandrabad

A young girls group formed near the AHD sewing and skill training center of Sikandrabad by Miss. Sabra Chandio, a young professional of the AHD staff. Miss Sabra vision to organize young girls group is to help them and support hem in education and health awareness to build their capacity and skills towards betterment. In this regard monthly meetings, awareness seminars and trainings conducted to strengthen young girls group. Most of the young girls studying in middle and matriculation classes nearby by Govt: schools and college

The plan of this group is to conduct door to door visits in the poor families and motivate them to enroll their young girls in the nearby Govt. primary schools. During the door to door visits families the data will be collected and further asked to enroll and register them in the nearby Govt. primary schools

Young girls Skilled to earn income for themselves & their family near Hyderabad

AHD working in slum dweller areas of Hyderabad of kali Moori, Unit No. 4, Unit. Mo. 5, Unit. No. 10 and Tando Hyder, conducted no. of meetings for the women empowerment as well as female education and young girl’s enrolment in nearby Primary schools, during last 1 year AHD completed 05 courses for women and young girl’s development. In Kali Moori some 06 young girls skilled with sewing and cutting and now practicing to work at their household level and support their family as well as themselves to earn their income towards their betterment

Women in target areas now mobilized to care their young girls and help them to learn, education and their skill development

AHD further plan to support young girls and girls having problem at their homes to get education and skill towards their betterment
