AHD Women team Conducted visits in 25 new villages for enrolment of young girls in schools
AHD women team conducted baseline survey and visits in 25 new villages to see the WOMEN EDUCATION in rural areas, about 25 villages meetings organized focusing women and girls education in far & scattered areas of Sindh. AHD women team came to know that about 70% rural families now sending their young girls to nearby Govt primary schools. AHD women team also confirmed that some 250 young girls will be enrolled in Govt primary in 2nd quarter of 2018.

Girls Education Awareness meetings organized in 10 villages
Women Program Officer of Tando Muhammad Khan AHD office started awareness meetings in villages and conducted some 10 meetings with women and girls to enroll young girls and children in nearby Government Primary schools. The women and children happy to enroll their young girls in nearby schools and we hope more than 500 young girls enrollment within next quarter
In next quarter AHD women program team will organize some 25 more awareness meetings. We hope your all cooperation will enable us to accelerate our girl initiative fund project activities.

Independence Day celebration for Young Girls
AHD Head office staff and Tando Muhammad Khan field office staff togetherreached at village Naag ji Kolhi for celebration 14th August Pakistan Independence Day 2017.
More than 60 students and their parents attend this Program. The program starts with the National Anthem.AHDteam distributed National flags between all the children’s.
And shared information in local language about the day which we are celebration here in this village is called 14th August, and the purpose of this program is to give awareness to the child’sof this village that what were the main causes to be built Pakistan. The team also shared knowledge about Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
It was fun and frolic in the village as the children celebrated the Independence Day.
AHD team distributed sweets to all and the program ended with a national song.
As new academic session of government schools start in March, so aggressive mobilization campaign has been run in past months by our program team to motivate parents for sending children specially girls to school. As a result 48 girls of different villages from Thatta & Sujawal Districts of Sindh province took admission in government schools. Government schools of area were also visited to analyze current situation. It is really hard for our program staff to move village to village and meet people in such a tough weather. We are thank full for your support & shall continue our efforts to eradicate illiteracy from the region.
Some 83 Young Girls enrolled for the admission in nearby Govt. schools
AHD women program team implementing different program activities in rural families, during the visits and meetings women asked and mobilized to send their young girls to nearby Govt primary schools. In this regard some 83 young girls enrolled in nearby Govt primary schools with the help of women program manager.
We also are looking to enroll some 500 young girls in the first quarter of 2017 in Thatta and Sujawal Districts. We need support of your all for this innovative program. The Govt school has lot of spaces and the books are free from Govt. so it is more helpful and easy for rural communities to send their children in Govt primary schools. We also planning to organize trainings for Govt primary school teachers in their capacity building.
