Girls facing lack of education & poverty in rural areas
Girls facing extreme poor conditions, poverty and lack of education, ignorance by parents and malnutrition since many years in minority groups especially in Lower Sindh Pakistan
AHD female staff visited some 15 new villages in remote areas of Budho Kambrani of Taluka Tando Ghulam Ali district Badin and find that girls ignored by women in rural areas or by the minority families residing in remote areas and working as laborer or tenant farmers since their fore fathers
AHD wants to support them with education and health facilities, in this regard some 120 girls enrolled during July to August 2016 and next target is to enroll some 250 girls in nearby primary school during next six months
We need your help to carry on girls initiative fund activities for the next six months, the budget we will need about 3,500 US $ including staff salaries, visits in about 10 villages.
Some 250 young girls will be enrolled in coming month from 10 villages of UC Matli
AHD working in the poor villages to help women & children to empower them at their household level and provide them with access to safe and clean drinking water and education at their village level. During the month if June 2016, AHD women team visited some 10 new villages and women program manager come to know that girls not studying or drop out from their school. AHD program is to help these women to send their young girls to school in next school opening in August 2016.
We will share update with you all in August and share how many young girls enrolled in the nearby Govt. primary school

A Success Story of AHD Girl Initiative Fund for Sindh Project
AHD working for the empowerment of young girls since 2011 in Hyderabad, Thatta & Badin areas, several young girls now completed matriculation and intermediate education classes during 2015.
One of Yound girl completed Intermdediate was the beneficiary of AHD "Girl Initiative Fund for Sindh" Project since 2011, she passed intermediate exams during 2014 and now studying in Graduation. During vocations and holidays She learning social sector experiences and working as "Office assistant" for AHD women related projects.
We at AHD are happy to share that more than 250 young girls across Sindh completed intermediate and graduation and now doing business and jobs in different institutions.
We hope your support & cooperation will enable us to reach out more young girls residing in rural areas.

Target for the next quarter to conduct 15 awareness workshops in rural villages
Girl Initiative Fund projects working to help poor village communities to enroll young girls in nearby Govt. primary schools, in the year 2015 from Jan to Dec 2015 AHD women program team successful to enroll 1,230 girls in nearby primary schools. In this regard some 23 awareness meetings and workshops conducted.
For the first quarter of 2016 women team planned to help out 665 families through awareness meeting and workshops to aware local women and men of 15 villages to prepare to enroll their young girls into Govt. primary schools. For this purpose women will be trained to install Fuel Efficient Cooking stove and attend health and hygiene programs. AHD women team will assure to organize 15 workshops and cooking stove activities to build the capacity of rural women that they can focus their girls and children to send schools.

Young Girls belong to Hindu family Happy to re-join village schools
Floods 2015 hit poor rural families in Badin districts and since floods they are working as laborer in outside their homelands and some 200 families residing in Jati area, AHD female program team visited these families and find some 230 young girls are near to go school or some them already drop out from schools as they left their village due to floods water enter into their houses. AHD women program team surveyed and some 230 young girls ages from 6 to 12 years encouraged to join nearby Govt, primary schools and some of them will re-join in class 2 to 3.
