Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your support to this campaign for more than two years. Your support to all the GlobalGiving campaings has been extremely valuable and helped us in bringing some change in the lives of our children. These children would have otherwise been living a life of drudgery and ignorance and become a liability to society at large.

In this report, we wish to share the story of a bright child Ph. Ph is 17 years old boy who comes from a tiny village in Ranga Reddy district, His mother is a daily wage laborer while his father deserted the family when Ph was very young. Ph joined Sphoorti in 2008 after his relatives were not in a position to help his studies.

Prior to joining Sphoorti, Ph was going to a local Government run school where the teaching standards and infrastructure were of abysmal quality.

After Ph came to Sphoorti, he was given admission in a local local english medium High School. he completed STD X with a GPA of 9.3. he then joined a premier Junior College in Hyderabad on a scholarship which gave him 30% tuition waiver. He scored 94% in his STD XI and is studying with greater dedication in his STD XII. We hope that he will get a good rank in Engineering entrance examination and land a seat in a high ranking Engineering College.

Through good academic performance and your support, Ph has gained a lot of confidence and is also focusing on his social/soft skills. Together with good academic record and behavioral traits, we hope that he will succeed in whatever career he chooses.

Ph wishes to be a Software Professional after his Undergraduate studies are over.

Ch in National Cadet Corps

Dear friends,

Thank you very much for your support to our children for the last several months. Your generosity helps us create a great impact on the lives of children who would have otherwise been seeped in poverty and ignorance.

We wish to share the story of one of the most promising children of Sphoorti - Ch. Ch is 19 years old boy who comes from a family where parents are illiterate and father is mentally unstable to take care of the family. The family belongs to Guntur. Ch joined Sphoorti in 2006 after one of our donors found out about the family situation.

Ch was one of the first few children of Sphoorti. Prior to joining Sphoorti, he was in a local Government run hostel which was in a bad shape and education was not given any kind of importance.

Ch studied until STD X in a local High School and went on to pursue STD XI and STD XII in a local Junior College. He secured 89% in his STD XII and by virtue of his academic record, he got admission in Bhavan's Degree College, one of the premier colleges in Hyderabad. He is pursuing Undergrad in Math, Statistics and Computer Science.

Through your support, we decided to send him to the college even though the college fee was about $500 p.a. Because of exposure to quality infrastructure, teachers and students from various backgrounds and social strata, Chaitanya has gained a lot of confidence and improved his social/soft skills. Together with good academic record and behavioral traits, we hope that he will succeed in whatever career he wishes to pursue.

He is also a part of National Cadet Corps (NCC), the Indian Military Cadet Corps open to College students. He is currently one of the toppers in his class. Chaitanya wishes to enter Navy after his Undergrad. He is currently attending prerp classes for Navy Entrance examination.
