Project Update: From Our Home to Yours – Manasa’s Big Dreams
“I want to teach children the beauty of our language.”
When Manasa first walked into Sphoorti seven years ago, she was just a quiet 10-year-old carrying the heavy weight of losing her father. Everything felt new and uncertain for her. But today, if you visited our campus, you’d see a completely different person.
The Girl Who Brightens Our Days
Manasa is now 17 and in her second year of Intermediate studies. She has grown into a young woman who is as kind as she is determined. Everyone here knows her for her warm smile and the way she’s always ready to lend a hand to the younger kids. Whether she’s helping a little one tie their shoelaces or explaining a tough lesson, her "friendly-first" attitude makes her a favorite in our Sphoorti family.
Chasing a Dream in Telugu
While most teenagers are still figuring things out, Manasa has found her calling. She is deeply passionate about the Telugu language and dreams of becoming a Telugu teacher.
She doesn’t just study hard; she works with a kind of focus that inspires all of us. You can often find her lost in her books, practicing her lessons, and dreaming of the day she’ll have a classroom of her own. She wants to be the kind of teacher who doesn't just give lectures, but truly cares for her students—just like the support she’s received here.
A Huge Thank You
Manasa’s journey from a grieving child to a future educator has been possible because she had a safety net—and that net is you.
To our donors and the GlobalGiving community: Thank you for being the "wind beneath her wings" for the past seven years. You’ve provided her with more than just school fees and meals; you’ve given her the chance to dream big and the stability to chase those dreams.
Manasa often tells us how grateful she is, and today, we are passing that gratitude on to you. Because of your kindness, a girl who once lost everything is now on her way to giving back to society as a teacher.
With love and gratitude,
The Sphoorti Family
