In the present situation, basic health care is beyond the reach of many families, partly due to lack of health insurance, partly because of the pandemic. Since the beginning of the year, the medical center is operating at full speed. In the last months many checkups were made – monitoring of pregnancy and medical examinations during pregnancy, general gynecologic evaluation and pediatric examinations…one life was saved as well.
I believe, now is the time to share with you another story from the real life in this neighborhood.
Dani is a pregnant girl from Fakulteta and like many others there she is uninsured. And that stops her from receiving the necessary medical care for her and her unborn baby. Our medical team met Dani when she was in her 5th month of pregnancy. In the beginning she was skeptical and afraid to go to the medical center but after few conversations she agreed on being examined…And that saved her baby’s life. One of the doctors identified a risk for the fetus and referred the young girl for emergency treatment. Dani received the necessary help and continue caring her baby. The little boy was born healthy 3 months after.
This story shows the importance of having a medical center in the neighborhood where the mothers and their babies receive lifesaving advices from our pediatric and gynecologist.
Dani, her son and the many others like them need your support,so please don’t let them down. We know there are so many good charities that will seek your help and you should know how honored we are when you choose to make a girt to our cause.
Thank you!
