CHILDREN AWARENESS PROGRAM – A VISIT TO THE BANK
Banking is not just about depositing cash or withdrawing money but a vast and wide field. Imparting knowledge of the functioning of the bank at this age could develop the habit of saving.
On 26th May 2023, the children of Janani Home were taken to the State Bank of India, Main Branch at Puducherry for an exposure visit. The children came to know that there are different people in the banks to assist us. The children were very delighted to see the A.T.M machine. They were very happy to know about it. The children had a glance at the room where the currency is arranged to be kept in the ATM machines. It was an informative trip for the children.
One of the employees of the bank took care of the children and explained to them the functioning of the bank in an elaborate manner.
English and Mathematics sessions in Janani Home
Maths and English are foundational skills for young learners. It is important to educate children well, by giving them the necessary skills in Maths and English, which helps them to build confidence, improve their social and communications skills, and understand the world around them. These two invaluable skills contribute to a child’s success, as they transition from childhood to adulthood.
A family who lived in USA for a long time now settled down at Puducherry. Their children who are doing 10th and 12th standar are volunteering to teach English (to read and speak) and basic math including Algebra during the Sundays for the children in Janani Home.
They wish to incorporate spoken English through games and board games for the young girls in the forthcoming Sundays. The children enjoy the sessions and are eager to learn.

By making it a habit our muscles become flexible and strong. Having a good metabolism with a high metabolic rate is vital for a healthy life. Having a healthy badminton match every day reduces the risk of bone fractures. Apart from physical benefits, the mental benefits of playing badminton are more striking and interesting.
