Food and Nutritional Security

We would like to thank you for your kind contribution!

Your support over the last weeks allows us to continue our social work focusing on food and nutritional security. Today we have 303 families totaling 451 children up to 11 years old.

One of them is Julia* (name changed) who was born premature and with syphilis. She needed to be hospitalized for 13 days shortly after her birth and her family lived in extreme social vulnerability.

Julia's family arrived at Instituto Dara in October of 2020 with a serious health condition with a diagnosis of child malnutrition. They received regular guidance from our physician and nutritionist with food and milk donations from our social technology: Family Action Plan. In just a few months with us, Esther has gained weight and is getting healthier.

Together we are making a difference! Julia is one of many children who had a chance to be cared for at Dara. Our multidisciplinary team using our social technology, the Family Action Plan, is helping socially vulnerable families to develop and become independent.

Hope this message finds you well and I wish you a Happy New Year! 

We would like to thank you for your support over the last weeks. Through your donation we have been continuing our social work focusing on food and nutritional security. Nowadays we have 310 families totaling 1847 people directly benefited.

Maria* (name changed) is one of these families. She arrived at Dara Institute in January 2021, her youngest son had a serious condition of bronchiolitis that inspired a lot of care. Medical treatment in the Brazil public health system, together with the Family Action Plan follow-up  with regular guidance from our nutritionist with extra food and milk donations, has allowed little João* (name changed) to grow healthy. We noticed a decrease in bronchitis crises and hospitalizations since the first  appointment.

Together we are making a difference! João is one of many children who had a chance to be cared for at Dara. Our multidisciplinary team using our social technology, the Family Action Plan, are helping socially vulnerable families to develop and become independent. 

With your help, we continue to give the monthly food card for each family of R$200. Ensuring their basic needs and better quality in their food, allowing each family to achieve  its autonomy.
