We would like to thank you for your generous support of our school in Cambodia.

Because of your generosity,  we are providing 120 needy families with monthly or bi-monthly food donations.  We are also looking for ways to help them sustain themselves.  With your assistance our Lunch Club continues to  provide a hot meal daily to our 170 students and we continue to run 14 classrooms.

We started a new program in which our parents volunteer for two hours per week at ABCs and Rice.  Their assistance is invaluable and our parents are even more committed to their children's education.

Students, family and staff alike were happy to welcome our favorite composer and returning volunteer, Mr Dermott Tutty.  He  planned, practiced, and produced a show for our students to perform. Parents, volunteers, and village elders were thrilled to be invited.

Your donations continue to improve our students' lives.  Our former graduates include students in: medicine(2 in their 7th and 8th year), Information Technology, Law, design tech, English teaching (2), accounting, culinary school, and  Hotel Services.   We also have a graduate in agricultural engineering who works in their chosen field.

Our students' accomplishments in education and their improved health could not be possible without YOU!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We wanted to give you, our generous donor, an update.

As you can imagine the pandemic hit us very hard.  Like the other schools here, we lost a majority of our senior students.  Many of them were sent off to work in Cambodia or even in Thailand.  Some of our young women were married off early for the dowry.  During the pandemic we had to close down our Breakfast and Lunch club in order to provide mass weekly food support to the community.  We were forced to sell our school bus to help fund our school and staff.

Thanks to you we have been able to take on more young learners.  We have 14 classes of students. Seven classes attend in the morning and seven attend in the afternoon.  We are able to feed and educate 170 students currently.  We intend on increasing our enrollment this month.  Because other NGO’s have closed their doors, we will prioritize their former students.

Because of your generosity we continue to support the community with monthly or bi-monthly food distribution to 120 families.  We are helping these families find ways to sustain themselves.  Our Lunch club is providing a hot meal for our students.  We will restart the Breakfast Club as soon as we can afford to.

We are happy to announce our new parent volunteer program.  Parents are now required to volunteer for two hours per week at ABCS and Rice.  Their involvement has increased their commitment to their children’s education here.  This program has been a very positive change.

Your generosity continues to help us feed and educate our students.  There is so much more good news but you will have to stay tuned until our next newsletter!

Thank you for your donations and have a great day!

Greetings from ABCS and Rice!

We wanted to express our continued gratitude to you, our donors!

As you probably know, during the height of the pandemic our classes were closed to our students.  Because of your generosity, we were able to provide them with school supplies, homework assignments and treats.  We also continued to distribute food and personal protective supplies such as masks.

Your donations helped us to provide clean water to more families than ever before. We were also able to distribute much needed  bicycles, bore wells, and assist those in need of hospital stays.  We also helped cover funeral costs within our community as well.

Because of you, our former graduates and current scholarship students are all still hard at work in their prospective universities despite the shutdowns over the past few years.

With your help, our food distribution continues and our 14 daytime classes are running.  Government schools have reopened and with Khmer tutoring our students are catching up. Our kitchen is open for lunch five days a week, and we hope to reinstate breakfast in the coming months. While the farm has closed, our new garden is productive thanks to parent volunteers under the coaching of our very own Ellen Healy A.K.A "Cha Harley."

We could not accomplish all of this without your help.  Our staff, students and families thank you from the bottom of their hearts.!

The students and staff are forever grateful for you, our generous donors.

Because of you ABCS and RICE is able to feed the minds and bodies of these precious students year round.

With your assistance we send rice, vegetables, other food, and toiletries home to our students’ families as well.  This encourages our students to continue their studies.

Some of our past graduates have gone on to study in the field of medicine and engineering.  Helping our students learn English improves their ability to enter the workforce.

You have changed the lives of hundreds of students for the better by helping to provide nutrition, education, social support and assistance with their health.

Thanks to you, these children and their families are thriving.

We hope that you have a great day!

We're back!
We're back!

Greetings to you from ABCS and RICE!

We are so happy that our students have been returning to class in person since January 2022 .  We started out by offering classes to our older students and now the smaller children are attending as well.

Because of your generosity we have been able to feed our students hot meals.  Thanks to you we have rehired teachers and provided our students with much needed school supplies such as textbooks, notebooks, pencils, art supplies and masks!

With your help we are doing our best to feed these smiling faces and get our students back on track with their education.

We could not do this without you!  We hope you have a wonderful day!
