Being a Kid Is Their Job

Greetings from ABCS AND RICE!
We would like to thank you for your kind support during this difficult time. After 7 long months we welcomed our students back to school in October 2020. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe and socially distanced. Our students began their 2 to 3 hours of weekly English education in shifts of six students per class. We also distributed class work for the students to continue their learning at home when it was not safe for them to attend school.
Because of your generosity our students and their families continue to receive weekly rations of rice and vegetables to encourage them to continue attending our school.
You have helped us distribute 31, 336 kg of rice, nearly 31,000 eggs, 4700 cans of fish, 4354 kg of fresh vegetables, 2400 face masks and much chicken, fish, oil, and fruit. We also handed out much soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, laundry detergent and hand sanitizer. We definitely had fun distributing 308 Christmas toys!
We were able to do all of this because of kind donors like YOU.

We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your continued support! You are feeding and providing education to many needy children in Cambodia.

Thanks to you, throughout the Covid19 shutdown of our school, we continued to offer our families a guaranteed food subsidy three times per week as well as an additional large food donation once a month.

We are also grateful that our water tank and filtration system (built by generous donors like you) is providing approximately 15,000 gallons of clean drinking water each week.

While our library reopened a few weeks ago for our students to take out books, last month we began phase one of the reopening of our school. We are doing our best to ensure social distancing, frequent handwashing and use of masks to keep our children and staff safe.

Because of your generosity, our students receive valuable class time each week and we continue to offer our food pick up line, although our kitchen will remained closed.

We could not feed and educate these precious children at ABCS AND RICE without you! Thanks you so much!
