Planting season

Widows receiving farm inputs
Widows receiving farm inputs

It is sad to report that our county is undergoing the third phase of Covid 19 which has turn out to be worse than the second phase.  The number of cases per day than what we had during the second phase of the pandemic.  Our capital city and other towns are under lockdown.

However, our villages are safe and we are trying to follow the measures to the later. It is also our planting season and we are glad we can work in our farms.

We have always supported one individual child and we are glad we can be able to support families especially the widows and very poor families.  We are encouraging many widows to stay with the children under our support program and this has given us an opportunity to support other children. These children need food and other necessities at home and it is the reason why we have this program.

This planting season has been a different one, it came out in style.  We were able to provide fertilizer and seeds to 28 widows.  This will enable them to have good harvests that will help them feed their children.  After harvest they will give 20 kilograms of maize to those who didn’t get the inputs.

This program has given us an opportunity to work in the village and get to know the needs and what we can do to improve the lives of families. As you can see the donations are not much, it is our prayer that you will share the good work you are doing with those close to you.  This will help us to reach out to more and the children will have enough food at home.

We thank you all for giving to this project.  It is a very powerful tool to change lives.  Once again thank you for your generosity.
