Keeping children in school requires more than addressing financial barriers. Children also need encouragement, belonging, motivation, and a reason to believe that education connects them to the future they dream about. F SSIBU Mission Foundation is therefore integrating talent development and sports into its support for vulnerable children.
Through music, poetry, football, athletics, storytelling, and other creative activities, children are discovering abilities that they may not have known they possessed. These activities create opportunities for children to express themselves, build friendships, develop discipline, and recognize their own potential.
For girls at risk of dropping out because of child marriage, early pregnancy, menstrual challenges, or social pressures, talent activities can create positive alternatives and reinforce the importance of staying in school. Boys facing poverty and other pressures can also find constructive opportunities that encourage them to continue their education.
Children are also developing songs and poems that communicate messages about school attendance, child protection, gender equality, and the dangers of child marriage.
Through these activities, children are learning that their voices matter.
Donors can help provide the resources needed to sustain these opportunities, including sports equipment, musical and creative materials, mentorship, coaching, and safe spaces for talent development.
Your contribution can help a child discover a talent, develop confidence, remain connected to school, and begin pursuing a dream with purpose.
