Update from The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation

By Julie Hutchison | President, Co-Founder and Chelsea's Mother

Epilepsy Awareness Day is just a little over a week away.  Because of you and others like you, we are sending (8) families living with the stress of epilepsy to participate in this 3rd Annual awareness-winning event on November 5th. Families from across the United States will be joining us.  Most of these families have never had the thrill of visiting Disneyland, let alone have a family vacation at all.

Blue Lake Casino of Blue Lake, CA just donated funds that also allows us to send (6) local Californians to participate in this event as well.  Even though they live nearby, most have never had the means to attend.

In addition to attending Epilepsy Awareness Day, our families will have the opportunity to attend an the Epilepsy Awareness Day Expo 2015.  The Expo was added to put patients and families together with epilepsy professionals in order to get everyone as much support as possible.  This expo features over 80 non-profit support groups, several hospital epilepsy center, pharma companies, epilepsy devices and more!

Thank you again for your support.  CHF's mission is to grant comfort and hope to those affected by epilepsy through providing monitoring resources, vital information, and a safe haven for conversation and community.  We are dedicated to providing opportunities that allow individuals and families greater independence, increased confidence, ability to enjoy social environments, and community understanding.

Thank you for supporting our efforts in memory of our precious 16-year old daughter who was taken by a seizure at the age of 16.
