In just a few short weeks, we have the honor of hosting 17 families with all major expense paid trips to Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland, which includes an amazing education expo that gives families face to face conversation with some of the top epileptologists, epilepsy centers, non-profits, new treatments, both conventional and non-conventional and incredible support. We strive to send 10 families each year, but with the generous support of you and others like you, we are able to make more dreams come true.
Here are some of the beautiful families who are included this year. We will share more photos after we return. We bring a photographer with us to follow each family for a period of time so our families can document these life-time memories.
STOMP Out Epilepsy and SUDEP 5K and Family Fun Walk just took place and I've attached a link to the video that was created where we surprised one family with a Chelsea's Wish Trip. We thought you'd enjoy!
"This isn’t JUST a vacation, this is an invaluable trip, where families have access to top professionals in the field, information on the latest treatment options - conventional and non-conventional, and the ability to meet with other families who are share similar worries, challenges and concerns. The bonds made between the families is as important as any information they come away with. There is a support system that forms between the families during their days at Disney that, lasts long after they return home. That sense of community has proven to be as valuable to our recipients, as the trip itself."
There is still time to donate to make this year's trips even more enjoyable for our guests!
