Dear GlobalGiving Community and Supporters,
A 12-year-old girl from Nangarhar shares, "I now dream of becoming a teacher to help other children learn." And a young teacher at one of our newly established schools remarks, "We are transforming. Education is igniting hope in the hearts of our people."
Building upon the heartfelt words of the changemakers above, I am thrilled to present the strides made in the Dosti Foundation/Global Education Campaign's (DOSTI/GEC) "End Illiteracy in Afghanistan by 2025" project.
As we continue our journey through 2023, the heartening progress of the project, driven by the Dosti/GEC, brings rays of hope to thousands of children in Afghanistan. I am excited to share the fruits of our collective efforts and the promising horizon we are building together.
While the journey has been encouraging, we still need to meet our initial fundraising goal of $300,000 to educate 100,000 Afghan children. With generous donations by the Global Education Campaign and additional funds from online fundraising platforms, there's a shortfall of $160350.
Education goes beyond literacy; it's about building futures, empowering communities, and fostering a progressive nation. With every child educated, we move closer to a brighter Afghanistan.
I earnestly appeal to the GlobalGiving community to continue supporting this noble cause. Your contributions, whether financial or by spreading the word, are invaluable in bringing countless dreams to life.
Let's rally under the banner of education and gift the children of Afghanistan a future filled with promise and possibilities. Together, we can end illiteracy in Afghanistan by 2025, one student at a time.
Thank you for your steadfast support.
With gratitude,
