Dear Valued Supporters and Friends of Children,
I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. As the Project Leader of the Global Education Campaign, I am excited to share with you the latest progress in the battle against illiteracy in Afghanistan.
The "End Illiteracy in Afghanistan by 2025" project was launched to educate the most marginalized children in Afghanistan. Despite the ongoing crisis in the country, our dedication to this mission has not wavered.
Over the past quarter, we have seen noteworthy progress. The number of out-of-school children enrolled in our programs has risen from 37,230 to 40,417. This is a testament to our team's tireless efforts and the resilience of the Afghan children we serve. We have also successfully established 87 additional volunteer-run, one-room Schools (totaling 646) known as, My Home – My School ( ) in collaboration with New Afghan Women Association (NAWA). These schools bring the joy of learning to children previously deprived of this fundamental right.
Picture this: a group of enthusiastic children, wholly absorbed in their studies, writing intently on mini chalkboards. Their happiness and joy permeate the scene as they eagerly learn and grow together. These Schools have taken a simple approach, utilizing mini chalkboards and a whiteboard, yet their impact is nothing short of extraordinary.
What makes these Schools truly special is the holistic and inclusive learning environment they create. With limited resources, these schools foster a sense of camaraderie, where students learn from and support one another. This sense of community enhances their academic growth and instills in them values of compassion, cooperation, and respect for diversity.
However, we face a significant challenge: funding. We initiated this project to raise $300,000 to reach 100,000 Afghan children. So far, we have received only a tiny fraction of this amount, $67, through online fundraising. The Global Education Campaign has contributed around $110,000 so far, but we still need to raise the remaining $190,000.
Your support now is more crucial than ever. Each dollar you contribute will directly impact the lives of Afghan children, bringing them one step closer to the education they deserve. While we understand that not everyone can contribute financially, there are other ways you can help. By sharing our mission with your friends, family, and social media networks, you can help us raise awareness and support for our cause.
Education is the beacon that can guide Afghanistan toward a peaceful and prosperous future. By helping us end illiteracy in Afghanistan by 2025, you are not just investing in these children's education; you are investing in their future and the future of their country.
Thank you for standing with us on this crucial mission. Together, we can transform lives and communities, one child at a time. Let us embrace the simplicity of mini chalkboards and the boundless potential they unlock as we work towards a brighter, more inclusive world.
My Warmest Regards,
