We at Manavya believe that Education is one such powerful tool, capable of transforming human minds and societies at large ! In the project uploaded by us Global Giving, our appeal was focused on the educational needs of our children.

We are pleased to inform you that we now have a regular English tutor for children studying in grade 7^th to 10^th. Pallavi is an excellent teacher, she is patient with kids and encourages them to develop liking towards English. She is helping kids brush up their grammar for now, while motivating them to converse with one another in English language. Sushma, Komal, Sapna, Akash and Sangram has shown tremendous improvement and are interested in reading storybooks, novels in English.

The next decision we took in sync with learning English was, expanding our Library in Gokul with various english books and educational magazines. We also have added few Indian Mythological story books for kids to also learn some values out of these stories while they cultivate the habit of reading.

We realized there was a need for additional tutor who could help children in subjects such as science and maths. Our tutor Yatin, has worked with all our kids diligently. Earlier, children’s basic concepts regarding all the subjects were weak. Yatin worked with each batch of kids to create interest in what they were studying. After successfully getting their attention, he started to work with them on subjects such as Science and Maths. This gradual improvement in children’s academic performance is now witnessed in the marks scored by kids who appeared for SSC (10^th grade) from Pune board exams. Sandeep scored 81.20% and is now studying Computer Technology, Sudarshan with 74.60% and Kajal with 71.40% decided to study subjects of Commerce. Pankaj being a creative boy scored 62% and decided to pursue fine arts.
