This project will strengthen 25 people and young people from Oaxaca and Hidalgo, Mexico, who were economically affected by the covid-19 crisis. Unfortunately, thousands of people were affected by the situation and lost their jobs; also several micro-businesses had to close due to the sanitary measures, affecting entrepreneurs. We will strengthen and encourage them with business knowledge, so they could start or improve a microenterprise to recover and generate economic resources.
Oaxaca and Hidalgo need a boost to productive activities. As a result of the Covid-19 crisis, unemployment increased, companies have stopped employing workers and a number of them have dismissed employees, some micro-enterprises went bankrupt, families and communities were considerably affected, economic insufficiencies increased, and recovery seems still extremely far away. Therefore, people will seek to be into informal, productive activities that create new incomes.
We will provide through our Taller Emprende en Linea ("Start your business" online workshop) business training to these 25 women and men and young people from Oaxaca and Hidalgo. They will be empowered with bussiness knowledge and learn the correct way to manage and operate a micro-enterprise. They will also learn how to activate their business idea in the short term and creatively face this crisis. Consequently, they will create new job opportunities through self-employment.
The people from Oaxaca and Hidalgo will get knowledge and skills to develop their productive activities, so they will have an economic recovery quickly through self-employment. They will reactivate the economic and social development of their communities and Mexico.
