Dear friends:
I am pleased to tell you about the significant progress we have made on the project "Empowering 25 people from Oaxaca and Hidalgo," that operates since 2021, after detecting the needs of the people affected in these states, especially by the pandemic and the floods in September of last year.
Our project is strengthening vulnerable populations through training with the "Taller Emprende en Línea" and accompanying them on their path towards the development of a decent life through the generation of self-employment.
From June 20 to July 22, 2022, we gathered the second group of 22 beneficiaries. Thanks to donations from a Mexican foundation that decided to join the project, we trained 18 people. We were able to integrate the remaining 4 participants into the training thanks to the contributions you have given us through this GlobalGiving platform, which have been of great help to start the activities of this project.
We invite you to continue contributing. We are compromised to keep seeking more people, companies, and organizations to support more people through this project and achieve the goal of training a total of 25, from which we have already trained 11, thanks to the contributions gathered through GlobalGiving.
With your contribution, in this second group, we managed to support:
Name Business Place
Divina Felipa Painted Textiles Oaxaca
Olga Mariana Stationery business Oaxaca
Paula Jewelry Oaxaca
Guadalupe Alebrijes (a type of typical Oaxaca
handicraft from Oaxaca)
We thank all of you who have joined this cause and invite you to continue by our side and let know others about this project, to positively impact the lives of more people who want to achieve a dignified and productive life.
Sincerely.
Patricia Larios

Dear friends:
I am happy to share with you that we have made progress on the project "Empowering 25 people from Oaxaca and Hidalgo," which we launched in 2021, after detecting the needs of the people affected in these states especially by the pandemic and the floods during September.
Our project consists of strengthening vulnerable populations through training with the Taller Emprende en Línea to accompany them on their path towards the development of a decent life through the generation of self-employment.
From January 31 to February 28, 2022, we gathered the first group of 29 beneficiaries. Thanks to donations from two Mexican foundations that decided to join the project, 22 of these people were trained. We managed to integrate the remaining 7 participants into the project thanks to the contributions you have given us through this GlobalGiving platform, which have been of great help to start the activities of this project.
If you are reading this, we invite you to continue contributing. We will continue to seek the support of more people, companies, and organizations to achieve the goal of training a total of 25, thanks to the contributions gathered through GlobalGiving.
With your contribution, we have so far managed to support:
Name Business State
Ángel Pharmacy Hidalgo
Brenda Coffee shop Hidalgo
Gabriela Edible Mushrooms Hidalgo
Génesis Beauty shop Hidalgo
Dulce Snacks for people with diabetes Oaxaca
Luz Print Center Oaxaca
Sandra Center for Training in Labor Competencies Oaxaca
We thank all those who have joined this cause so far and invite them to continue by our side to positively impact the lives of more people who want to achieve a dignified and productive life.
Dear friends:
We address you through this brief report of project activities to strengthen 25 people in Oaxaca and Hidalgo economically affected by the pandemic and other affectations.
As you well know, our work consists primarily of reaching out to vulnerable populations to help them on their way to developing a dignified life through the generation of self-employment. That self-employment is generated by a business idea or a business currently in practice and most of the time still informally. That is why we help them notice the multiple advantages of formality to guide them to become empowered and self-sufficient entrepreneurs.
You must know that throughout September, the poorest areas of Hidalgo were affected by a series of floods that involved more than 31,000 homes and around 2,000 businesses that were utterly ruined. In November, the victims received their first support from the government. However, there is still much to do to support small business owners in the area. For this reason, we want to inform you that we will be directing efforts of this campaign so that the people who participate in these activities are those more affected. To do this, we have maintained contact with other social organizations that work in that area, which will help us get this help to those who need us most.
The funds raised so far are 443 dollars. Still, we will continue searching for benefits for more people who want to achieve a more dignified and productive life by creating and promoting local businesses.
We thank everyone who has contributed to this cause. We will keep you informed of further developments in this project.
Sincerely,
Patricia Larios
Executive director
Dear Friends:
Last May we started this campaign to strengthen 25 people in Mexico, specifically in Oaxaca and Hidalgo, that are economically affected by the crisis generated by the pandemic.
Our job is to provide tools to acquiring knowledge that helps people generate their own employment through entrepreneurship so that people can be architects of their own well-being. However, more resources are required to start with the first training group for this population. So far, we have managed to raise $ 125.
We will continue to search for more allies to bring this support to the people who need us today to reactivate their economy and become agents of change in their communities.
We thank those who have joined our cause. We will keep you informed of the progress of the project.
