Dear Donors,
Greetings for the holidays and the end of the year.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very happy
New Year in advance as we look back at our
crowdfunding journey through GlobalGiving for the
past 8 years.
We started fundraising in GlobalGiving in 2013,
and our first donation was made on September 3rd,
2013! We have had a fabulous dream run of
fundraising for the past 8 years raising more than
US$ 1.1 million, raising funds for two full-time projects,
and 2 microprojects (which got fully funded).
With your support and contributions, we had been
able to make wonderful transformations in the lives
of thousands of Indian rural children by offering them
quality English medium education where it is not
available or affordable.
Several of our students have passed out of Isha Vidhya
and are pursuing higher education as well as gainfully
employed in companies. This has all been possible
because of your unrelenting support!
We have procured critical infrastructre needed for the
schools like learning aids, school buses, sports
equipment, computers, etc., as well as built classrooms and
other necessary structures like water tanks and toilets.
Our student education sponsorship has been a huge
success along with the subsidies for noon meal and
transportation. Noon meal and transportation are two
very important reasons for the students and parents
to stay motivated on children's education.
We have participated over the course of years in
several of GlobalGiving's campaigns and contests,
and have had the honours of being winners and
finishing in the top ranks. We won a photo contest
in an year, and also got recognized as a top ranking
project in GlobalGiving in an year.
We would like to assure you that the donations that
you have made have been put to the intended
purposes, and will be in the future too. We thank you
for all that you have done for our project.
From my side personally, and from the entire
Isha Vidhya team, we once again wish you a
great holiday session and a very happy New Year 2022!
Thanks & Best Regards.
Venkat Ramakrishnan.
Nisha studies in Grade 12 at
Isha Vidhya Erode school.
Nisha learnt at school about
Kamaraj, an Indian Independence
activist, and the Chief Minister
of Madras State from 1954 to
1963. She became inspired
by his story, to serve the society.
Nisha loves botany, and wants
to study B.Sc. (Agriculture),
following which she would like
to pursue Indian Administrative
Service and make a positive
difference in the society.
Being intent on achieving
her goals, Nisha is already
training for the UPSC exam.
We are so glad that many
students at Isha Vidhya are
inspired by national leaders
like Kamaraj. We wish
Nisha all the best in her
endeavors!
All these have been made
possible only through the
generous contributions from
the donors. We thank the
donors for their support,
and look forward for their
continued support.
Thanks & Best Regards.

Krishma is studying in Grade 12 at the
Isha Vidhya Nagercoil school. Her
aspiration is to excel as a Space Researcher!
Here's her sharing:
"I want to pursue astronomy. I get excited and
curious at the mere mention of the subject. I
am already preparing for higher studies abroad,
and brushing up on my English in case I decide
to take IELTS (International English Language
Testing System). I also like learning via
educative apps and online classes in my
own time."
We are quite excited to hear her sharing.
We are so glad that Isha Vidhya is
producing students who want to contribute
to worldwide research and who want to
pursue their higher education at the
international level!
We wish Krishma all the best in her
endeavors and wish her success in
her exams that she is planning for.
We thank the donors who have made
Isha Vidhya possible and lighting the
lamp of education in the students' lives.
We thank you for all you have done
for educating India rural children
through Isha Vidhya, and we look forward

Bhavadharni works as a support executive in
TCS's Citibank project. She was hired on
campus at Sri Krishna Adithya College of
Arts & Science, Coimbatore, where she had
completed her B.Sc. Computer Science out
of her eagerness to gain more knowledge
about computer technology. Bhavadharni
says, “My journey as an employee is different
from what it was at Isha Vidhya Coimbatore –
I feel more responsible now, working in a
multi-national company.
But the things I learned at Isha Vidhya, like
discipline, punctuality, and speaking in
English, help me immensely now.” She
loves her job which gives her an opportunity
to interact with people.
Bhavadharni says that her teachers played
a major role in motivating her to study
well and instilling confidence in her to
make sound decisions in life.

Velam landed a job at India Post based
on her excellent Class 10 score of 96%.
She is currently working as a Dak Sevak
(postal officer) and aspires to rise to a
higher post in the future.
Velam scored 91% in Grade 12 at Isha
Vidhya Nagercoil and studied B.Sc. Maths
at Pioneer Kumaraswamy College,
Nagercoil, but she grabbed the India Post
job for the stability a government job
provides. This means a lot to her
considering that her father runs the
house with his earnings as an auto driver.
Velam acknowledges the vital role her
Isha Vidhya teachers played both
academically as well as in preparing
her to face any challenge.
She is pleased to have this secure job
and being in a position to support her
family financially.
