AFC continues to train hundreds of nonprofit organizations across Puerto Rico on a wide range of topics, including financial management, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, sustainability strategies, and best practices for strengthening organizational capacity. These trainings are designed to equip nonprofit leaders with the knowledge and tools they need to operate effectively, maintain fiscal health, and meet regulatory standards.
In addition, AFC is actively creating and facilitating structured listening spaces with nonprofit leaders and stakeholders. These listening sessions aim to capture the sector’s experiences, challenges, and urgent needs—particularly the growing concerns related to limited funding, delayed disbursements, and the instability of grant cycles in Puerto Rico. By engaging directly with organizations, AFC is working to better understand the root causes of the funding crisis and to develop actionable recommendations, advocacy strategies, and collaborative solutions that can support the long-term sustainability of the sector.
If this resonates with you, take the next step and support our work with a donation. Puerto Rico’s nonprofit community thanks you for standing with them.
