Dear Friends & Well Wishers

Many Rural students, despite being academically bright in college, have difficulties upon graduation. Vidya Poshak's Employment Readiness Training provides them a platform for overall development which is essential for students to be gainfully employed and contributing leaders and citizens of tomorrow.

HighLights of Skill Training Programs in Q2 of 2015:

In the 2nd quarter of 2015 training team conducted  3 camps for 172 students.

A few objectives of the Training:

  •  To Empower students to be more successful in personnel & professional life.
  •  To provide valuable student centered practical training.
  •  To Instill confidence through interactive life skills workshops.
  •  To Encourage development of English communication.
  •  To Promote the idea that each student can become a leader.
  •  To bridge the gap between the formal education and demands of meaningful career..
  •  To assist the students to set and achieve desired career goals..

The above said objectives depict the overall vision of the camps.  Each camp has specific objectives decided prior to each camp based on the target group.

As these students are primarily from nonprofessional courses they need to develop their aptitude skills for various exams and interview and final year students must need the skills like. Communication ,Attitude, interview skills, confidence.GD Skills etc the almost all students were from rural background they didn’t know all about this  so we trained them in the camps.

Activities Held during the training

  • The students in this camp batch mixed with others and adjusted quickly
  • The students prepared for the “Student Seminars” throughout the whole week and all did an amazing job presenting.
  • Students participated in Group discussions. At the beginning there was a great reluctance to talk in GD. However with training and encouragement the students opened up to their own surprise.
  • All students participated in mock interviews. This helped them to become confident in facing the real thing.
  • All the students presented various math’s problems. This increases their confidence in handling aptitude papers in the selection process.
  • All presentations were creative and in English
  • Students participated well in their leadership duties it helps them to take lead in the GD and other activities.
