Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing water, sanitation and hygiene to those affected by extreme weather events here. This season we are experiencing severe storms that displaced a lot of people and we are busy in the field providing support. Two typhoons in succession has hit us and this created great misery among poor, vulnerable communities. We focus our assistance by providing support to a communal farm that provides fresh food to those who are affected. The communal farm continuously produce vegetables, legumes, chickens and ducks and we provide these to the beneficiaries.
Again, thank you very much for your kind support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing water, sanitation and hygiene to those affected by the El Nino phenomenon. We are getting very good at conserving water by the construction of large rainwater harvesters made of iron and concrete and this time we were able to add yet another of this harvester in a mountain school in Lanao del Norte province which is water-deficient and with good constant rain as viable source of water for general household use. This harvester will serve the school with a population of 310 and a total of 120 households residing around it. The rainwater harvester is proving to be effective and provide good service for the school and the sorrounding community. We were able to seek out support of the local community so that they assist in labor during the construction. We asked them also to help in the repair and maintenance once the harvester is in full use. Repair of the unit consist of cleaning the tank at least once a year and checking clogging in the pipes.
Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your kind support to our project to provide water and sanitation to those affected by the extreme warm weather phenomenon. This reporting period I am happy to announce that we have completed installing two units 10,000-liters rainwater harvesters to the Buenavista Elementary School located in very mountainous region in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. The schoolchildren have now direct access to clean water since rain is plentiful here. We are very proud of this achievement because constructing the harvester is a big challenge given the difficulty in hauling materials up the mountains.
We will make this milestone a model for the entire province and hoping that other donors will provide us with much-needed financial support in order to build some more.
Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
