Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing water, sanitation and hygiene to those affected by the El Nino phenomenon. We are getting very good at conserving water by the construction of large rainwater harvesters made of iron and concrete and this time we were able to add yet another of this harvester in a mountain school in Lanao del Norte province which is water-deficient and with good constant rain as viable source of water for general household use. This harvester will serve the school with a population of 310 and a total of 120 households residing around it. The rainwater harvester is proving to be effective and provide good service for the school and the sorrounding community. We were able to seek out support of the local community so that they assist in labor during the construction. We asked them also to help in the repair and maintenance once the harvester is in full use. Repair of the unit consist of cleaning the tank at least once a year and checking clogging in the pipes.
Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
