We are happy to e-meet you again in this project report.
On January 21, we began our first scholarship distribution for the students in the KEMBALI Scholarship Program. The scholarship distribution started from Denpasar and Badung, then we continued the distribution to Gianyar Regency, Karangasem Regency, Pengotan Village in Bangli regency, and finally to Les Village in Buleleng Regency on February 11. We meet 460 students of the KEMBALI Scholarship program in 13 program areas.
We distributed school supplies packages for the children with these details:
During the meeting with the students and their families, YKIP also handed out some cash allowances to the parents. There was a transportation allowance to cover any expenses that occurs related to the students' mobilization from their house to the school. An extra-curricular allowance was given to pay the expenses of extracurricular expenses. The last expense covered is the expenses of the books. As the students need to buy books and worksheets, YKIP helped their parents to cover the expenses. YKIP hopes with the expenses covered, the students could focus on their studies don't need to worry about the expenses and work after school to pay the fees.
Besides the packages, YKIP staff visited all schools where the students study. The staff not only paid for the tuition fee, but they also talked to the school officials and teachers about the students' condition at school.
We are glad that the first scholarship distribution in 2023 run smoothly. This is because of the great support we received from donors like you. Your contribution to the program helps YKIP provide the school supplies and cover all the expenses of the students and the program itself.
