Dear Friends,
May this report find you well.
In October-November 2023, YKIP conducted our scholarship distribution to all students in six areas of the program. YKIP met the students in the area to distribute the transport allowances. The distribution was started in the third week of October and finished in the first week of November.
Besides distributing the transport allowance to the students, YKIP also awarded students who have the best academic performance in the program areas. Students with the highest mark average get the rewards from YKIP. It not only becomes a token of appreciation for their hard work but also a motivation for other students to make their best effort at school.
YKIP also awarded students who participated in non-academic competitions such as in art, sports, and scouting. For the students who got the rewards, we hope this reward will make them feel appreciated for what they have done during their free time after school. For other students, we hope that this award will motivate them to explore their interests and make achievements like their friends. In total, 44 students achieved the rewards from YKIP for their academic and non-academic achievements.
Below is one story of Jana, a 12th-grade student who received a reward from YKIP because of his achievement in scouting.
In August, I got a chance to represent my regency, Bangli, to join the National Scout Gathering in the capital city of Indonesia. It was not easy to be a representative as I needed to pass the selection process in the regency, and it was not an easy thing to do. It was after the rigorous selection process then I went to Jakarta with some friends.
It was fascinating to meet so many scouts from all over Indonesia. I made a lot of friends and learned so many things from them. Besides making new friends, I also got a chance to visit some interesting places in Jakarta. With my background of studying architecture in a vocational high school, I got a chance to visit a government institution that builds public schools around Indonesia and felt what it was like to work in the company for a couple of days. During the visit, I also met with the Minister of Public Work and Housing of The Republic Of Indonesia, Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono. It was an unforgettable memory for me.
I would not have been able to join this great event if I hadn't been sponsored by Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi to continue my education in Vocational High School. Thank you very much for the support from the donors.
Again, we would like to thank all donors who supported this KEMBALI Scholarship program, so we could help more students in continuing their education through Senior High School. It is not only to give them the chance to study but also the opportunity to explore their interest and become the best in them.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further inquiries about this scholarship program.
See you in the next report,
YKIP Team
