EDUCATION

We make sure that our children go school whenever schools open. We are in term of learning in our schools and all children go to school they are at school right now and learning of term two is on.

Our children’s performance of term two in our four groups was good and promising according to their reports from school where each of them goes for learning.

FEEDING AT SCHOOL

When the year begins, children get maize and beans to take to school up to the end of term II then when harvest is done for season one parents give support from term three of learning.

Term three, there is fear because the season has not been good, very poor yield is realized because of not having good rain fall. There is hunger in our communities, people are suffering so are our children.

FEEDING CHILDREN AT HOME

The child headed family children feed at home and at school therefore food is provided to them to feed at home, it is mainly beans and maize.

We make sure the maize is grinded for them.

There are also children staying with the old women who lost their sons and daughters they also get beans and maize whenever funds are realized with the motto that we help those in need.

SCHOLASTIC MATERIALS

These are always provided to children at the beginning of the year whenever funds are realized. This mama We love our children.

UNIFORMS

We always provide uniforms to our children immediately funds are realized from our kind donors. These were got in early February

FEES TOP UP

Each group does the top up of fees according to their needs. It is done to the very needy children.

HEALTH CARE: HIV/AIDS

We make sure our children come from HIV/AIDS. Some were born with the virus: we make sure they get their drugs in time and attend their clinic days without fail. Counselors visit these positive children and educate them counsel them to help them overcome stigma and stress.

CHILD’S DAY

We sometimes invite children so that meet and share different activities together, practice drama, do quizzes, sing and dance culturally and share meals planned for them.

SCHOOL DROP OUT

We have tried to overcome this dropping out of school unnecessary, we guide them encourage them, to learn short courses like hair dressing, tailoring. We refer them to Pefo.

CARE FOR OVC (Orphans and other Vulnerable Children)

We take care of this group which is not happy.

We encourage them to go to Pefo to take short courses after p.7 or S.4 whenever they pick interest; we always make sure they are in school to keep them busy.

REFERALLS

There is a time when our children fail to complete school because of their own problems refer them to perform to take salon courses such as tailoring. These mostly and almost always make a fall up to help them.

DEVELOPMENTS

The school: Performance was generally good according to their report cards brought to us.

CHALLENGES:

  1. There is a lot of hunger in our communities because season was without steady rainfall. All crops did not do well.
  2. There will be no parents’ contribution of meals of children at school, as it has been before. Our parents have been contributing for their children’s food at school in Term III of learning.
  3. Maize and beans were not realized in season II last year. Seeds given out did not do well.

SUGGESTION:

If possible, we request for more funds;

  1. To buy seeds for planting – Maize and Beans.
  2. To buy food for our hungry children and adults.
