Education

This is our children’s term 1 of learning of 2023. Schools opened on the 6th Feb, 2023 and all our children have gone to school at all levels of learning.

The system of learning is normal because there is smooth learning of children

Our performance of our children’s learning of 2022 was very good; the learners were all promoted to the next level of learning.

Scholastic materials

We are grateful to our donors. We have already received funds and scholastic materials have been given to our learners in time.

Uniforms

Our children have already been given uniforms and they are smart on them.

Feeding at home

Children who are staying with old women can now feed well. They have been given beans and maize.

Most of them have ground their maize for food.

Feeding at school

Since we have already realized funds in time children have already taken their shares of beans and maize to school for their midday meals

Health care (HIV/AIDS)

Our children look healthy. We make sure that those who are HIV+ get beans and maize, go to get their medicine on the right days as required so that they are healthy.

Our motto of long term survival skills are mostly practiced here, counseling is done, self-awareness kept and stress is avoided and no stigma.

Centre schools;

These schools have improved. In some places, old women come for porridge at break time.

School dropout (girl child)

These youths sometimes they are called young mothers are referred to PEFO and other project organizations. We are trying to pay for the small demands of organizations where they practice tailoring, hair dressing sometimes computer according to the dropout interest.

Fees top up

The very needy get some little top up of their fees, sometimes money for grinding their maize since some cannot afford.

Child’s day care

We sometimes make it twice a year.

We prepare plays and MDD for them to come together, eat together and play together according to how each group’s planning.

Development

Most of our children were promoted to the next level of learning.

Children got uniforms and scholastic materials and food for eating at school and all our children feed at school.

Challenges

There has been hot sunshine from late December to date we don’t know whether the season will be good.

Suggestions

If possible, can we prepare our children to visit other schools? Busia schools, Tororo Schools, Amonikakinei and Bugiri to see and learn what happens in other places

Conclusion

We love our dear donors who care for our needs and the needs of our children.
