On 20th March, Long Beach House held an exchange meeting with local people for the first time. Not only the locals but also the guests coming from far participated and talked about “Ishinomaki from now on” together. We are planning to hold meetings like this to communicate with the local community.
On 26th March, the neighboring town held a festival for revival. We opened a branch store there and treated visitors to bouillabaisse containing local dark sleepers. Many people eating this said “Yummy” to us. We decided to treat this in our restaurant as a new menu.
March 14th was the one-year anniversary of Long Beach House. So we held the anniversary party on 9th April. During daytime, we held some workshops and stalls. Also “Eisa-Ishinomaki”, folk song loved by local people and “Watanoha-shishi-furyu”, traditional art handed down from 400 years were performed. It was the good atmosphere like a festival. During evening, Takahashi Ayumu, the president of NPO On The Road talked with Japanese famous dancer USA, where many their fans joined. Also two bands gave concerts and guest dancers performed belly dance and salsa dance. We treated to anniversary special meal.
We will do our best to improve Long Beach House, please continue your support.
