December 8th, we held “Nori” festival in Ishinomaki city. Nori is a Japanese seaweed laver. We obtained the cooperation of five local fishers. They took us to the factory and explained the processing process. Nineteen participants in all were local people. They knew that there is delicious seaweed laver, and the feelings and desires of great fishermen.
December 22nd, we held DJ event in Long Beach House. One of the chefs in LBH is a Cuban. He was a sponsor of this event. He invited other DJ from outside Ishinomaki, and more visitors came than that of last month. We had such a wonderful time. We decided to hold DJ events like this every two month. We hope that this would trigger the expansion of new local community.
January 11th, we invited Yoga instructor from Tokyo holding Yoga class. Almost all of participants came alone, and they were also beginners. We had a very good sweat together, so in the latter half of the class, were already relaxed in a friendly atmosphere. After the class, we drank a cup of tea and fad a pleasant chat. It seemed that this event was a good place to communicate and interact.
